Matthew’s life depended on a bone marrow transplant. Neither of his 3 siblings were a match for him. A search was on for the perfect match. Weeks later it was found. An anonymous donor was located and the process began with further testing. His transplant was scheduled for June 12. The doctors decided to go with a stem cell transplant instead of bone marrow. Matthew was quarantined for 30 days so as not to be contaminated from the outside world. You can save a life by becoming a bone marrow donor. The testing is painless and done by simply swabbing the inside of your mouth. The transplant was able to give us seven more months with Matthew that we would not have had with him. Please help save a life or give someone that little bit of extra time to spend with their loved ones. That’s what Matthews donor gave to us and We were ever so grateful!
